Finding information quickly
Someone asks you about a participant's status, or you need to locate a specific entry among hundreds. Search gets you there instantly.
Search (CTRL+F)
Press CTRL+F to open the search bar. This works in the results view to search for participants, in the Announcer's window to toggle the settings panel visibility, in registrations to focus the search field, and in the monitor to open the global search overlay.
Working with events from the event list
You've opened the event list and clicked on an event to see its options. From here, keyboard shortcuts let you jump straight to the view you need.
Edit event (CTRL+E)
Press CTRL+E to quickly open the event editor — useful when you need to change dates, classes, or settings before the competition starts.
Open monitor (CTRL+M)
Press CTRL+M to open the event monitor and track competition progress in real time. You'd use this once timing has started and you want to see results flowing in.
Backup event (CTRL+S)
Press CTRL+S to create a backup of the event data. Good practice before making major changes or at the end of a competition day.
Create new event (CTRL+N)
In the event list, press CTRL+N to start creating a new event.
Lock screen (CTRL+L)
Press CTRL+L in the event list to lock the application screen. This is useful when you need to step away from the computer during an event and don't want anyone accidentally changing data.
Managing participants and registrations
You're in the registrations view, working with participant data — adding entries, reviewing start lists, or preparing for printing.
Add participant (CTRL+N)
In registrations, press CTRL+N to add a new participant (or team for relay events). In the monitor, CTRL+N also adds a new participant.
Toggle info mode (CTRL+I)
Press CTRL+I to toggle between the normal view and info mode — helpful when you need to see additional participant details without opening the editor.
Print start lists (CTRL+P)
Press CTRL+P to open the start list printing dialog when it's time to print lists for the start area.
Navigate between stages or classes (CTRL+Arrow Right/Left)
In registrations, press CTRL+Arrow Right or CTRL+Arrow Left to navigate between stages in a multi-stage event. In the Announcer's window, the same shortcut navigates between classes.
During live commentary
You're running the announcer's window during a competition, calling out results as they come in.
New announcer window (CTRL+N)
Press CTRL+N in the Announcer's window to open a new announcer window — useful when you want to monitor multiple classes simultaneously on separate screens.
