When you need this

Your organisation owns a set of timing cards that you lend to participants who don't have their own — common at training events or open competitions. This page lets you manage your rental chip inventory: add new cards, see which ones are currently out in terrain, and track their usage history.

Accessing the Rental Chips page

Click Rental chips in the top bar of the event list to open the rental chip management page.

Rental chip list

The list gives you an overview of your entire inventory and helps you spot cards that haven't been returned. Each entry shows:

  • Rental chip — the chip number
  • Last used — the date and time the chip was last used
  • Last user — the name of the last participant who used the chip
  • Event — the event where the chip was last used
  • Logged in terrain — whether the chip is currently active in terrain

Chips that are still active in terrain (not yet returned) are highlighted in red.

Adding a new rental chip

You've purchased new timing cards and need to register them in the system. Type the chip number in the input field at the bottom of the list and press Enter.

Deleting a rental chip

A card is lost or broken and you want to remove it from your inventory. Hover over the chip row and click the trash icon. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Putting it together: managing rental cards at a training event

You're organising a training event and expect several participants without their own cards. Before the event, you check the Rental chips page — two cards are still highlighted red from last week's event (not returned). You contact those participants. On event day, you hand out available rental cards and note which participants receive them during registration. After the event, you check the page again to confirm all cards have been returned.
