When you need this
You're setting up Navisport for the first time and need to enter your organisation's details, or you want to change the interface language or theme. You'll also come here when connecting to external services like IRMA or Paytrail.
Appearance and language
You've just installed Navisport, or a colleague who speaks a different language needs to use the same computer. These settings control how the application looks and which language it uses.
Language — Sets the interface language for all menus, buttons, and help text. Available languages:
- English
- Finnish
- Swedish
Select your preferred language from the dropdown to switch immediately.
Theme — Switch between Dark mode and Light mode to match your preference or lighting conditions. The theme changes the appearance of the entire application, including colors and contrast. You can also toggle this from the main menu without visiting Settings.
Your organisation details
These details appear on printed documents, registration forms, and the public results page. Set them once when you first configure Navisport — you'll only come back here if your organisation's contact information changes.
- Organisation name — Your organisation's official name. Shown on printed documents and registration forms.
- Email address — Contact email shown on registration forms so participants can reach you.
- Postal address — Your organisation's mailing address. Used on printed documents.
- Business ID — Your organisation's business identifier. Shown on invoices and official documents when you'd need it for formal event reporting.
- Homepage — Your organisation's website URL. Shown on the registration form so participants can find more information about your club.
- Phone number — Contact phone number. Shown on registration forms alongside the email address.
Connecting to external services
You want your event results to appear on IRMA, or you need to enable online payment for registration. These integration keys connect Navisport to external services for data synchronization and payment processing.
- IRMA result service key — Connects your events to IRMA for participant import and result synchronization. You need this if your federation uses IRMA for official results. Enter the key provided by your federation's IRMA administrator.
- Paytrail merchant ID — Your Paytrail merchant identifier for accepting online payments on registration forms. Required only if you charge entry fees online through Paytrail.
- Paytrail encryption key — The encryption key for securing Paytrail transactions. You receive this together with your merchant ID from Paytrail when setting up your account.
Putting it together: first-time setup
You've just installed Navisport and need to get everything configured before your first event:
- Open Settings from the main menu.
- Set your preferred Language and Theme.
- Fill in your Organisation details — these will appear on all your event documents and registration forms.
- If your federation uses IRMA, enter your IRMA result service key to enable participant import and result sync.
- If you accept online payments, enter your Paytrail merchant ID and encryption key.
Once configured, you rarely need to revisit these settings unless your organisation's details change or you set up a new payment integration.
Tip: The theme setting is also accessible from the main menu, so you can switch between dark and light mode without opening Settings each time.
